Plek receives ISO 27001 certification for information security

We are super proud! Information security, privacy and protection of sensitive business date have always played an important role in our organisation, but with obtaining the ISO 27001 certification it's also officially acknowledged! What is ISO 27001?

ISO 27001 is a globally recognized information security standard. It describes how an organization can control and organize its information security in a process-based way. Information security entails maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. It involves possible external threats (such as hackers) but also risks within the internal organization. Furthermore, ISO 27001 relates to more than just the prevention of the loss of information or of information getting into the hands of people or organizations who shouldn't be able to access it. It also relates to the guarantee that your information is accurate and complete.

Information security at Plek

What it all boils down to: our ISO 27001 certification proves that here at Plek, our information security is on point. Every organization that uses Plek owns its own data. We draw up a clear processing agreement for all of our clients, we've implemented strict security rules within our organization and we optimally protect our data and platform. We regularly subject ourselves to penetration tests and audits to check whether our policy, hosting, way of working and platform continue to meet the high standards we have set for ourselves.

And these standards are not just GDPR related - we believe in being future proof. This is why we like to do more than required. For example, last year we added a functionality to Plek that allows an admin to log a user out of Plek on all their devices. It can be used to secure the data Plek processes in case of theft or loss of a device, even if the device cannot be erased from a distance. Another example: you can securely log in to the Plek app via Touch ID and Face ID.
